Portraits (2)

I make simple pen-and-ink drawings, line drawings in pen like Matisse’s. I am blending these with the technique I used in some of my vector portraits that I created in recent years.

I’m currently working on this self-portrait.

A fine art black-and-white line drawing of a head looking down.

The first throw I took at it was trying to created rough flowing shapes by hand using vectors. And even when I like it for what it is, it’s not what I’m looking for.

Deconstructed abstract selfportrait in bold colors and soft blobby shapes. The colors are vibrating yellow, purple, magenta, orange, blue and green with a side of grey.
SoFLY – Work in progress

The next attempt Was looking at some watercolour landscapes made by other artists. Much better. Not what I’m used to which is always a goofd thing. Expressive, blunt. I like that in my artwork.
